Mumbai: Samir Mulla, who is suspected to have placed a bomb in a local train, leading to a blast at
Mulund Railway station on March 13, was detained at Malegaon near Nasik on May 6, police said.
Mulla is alleged to have placed the bomb in the Karjat-bound train, which claimed 11 lives and injured
over 60 persons on March 13. He was being interrogated on May 7 by crime branch sleuths, crime
branch sources said.
Earlier this week, Adnan Mulla, brother-in-law of the prime conspirator Nachan, was held by the police at
Padgah village in neighbouring Thane district.
Adnan is suspected to have played an important role in procuring arms, the sources said.
Meanwhile, police have launched a man hunt for the rest of the absconding associates of the bomb
blast accused, following seizure of a cache of arms and ammunition during raids on two places on the
outskirts of Mumbai last week.
