Bangalore: Leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) service provider ICICI OneSource on May 7 announced that its workforce tripled to 2,175 employees during the financial year ended March 2003.

I-OneSource, a unit of ICICI (industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India) Bank, will continue aggressive hiring for new facilities that will be established in the country over the next 12 months to meet the growing demand for its customer contact and transaction processing services, a company release said in Bangalore.

I-OneSource primarily serves the banking, insurance, asset management and diversified financial services markets in US and Britain.

"We are enhancing our ability to manage entire, end-to-end processes where new levels of quality and cost benefits can be achieved. In order to extend our client-base beyond US and UK, we are planning to deliver BPO services from facilities that we will establish in other regions of the world," I-OneSource's US operations president Susheel Kurien said.

The company last year invested $ 3.5 million in setting up two service facilities in the country including a 500-seat centre at Mumbai, it said.
