Kochi: 'Tech Towers', the Rs 20 crore multi-functional business centre, being set up on the lines of Tidal
Park in Chennai, and providing all facilities under one roof to entrepreneurs, will be launched by the
state Industries and Information Technology (IT) Minister, P K Kunhalikutty, on May 10.
The towers, claimed to be the tallest structure in Kerala when completed, would combine a synergy of
strengths, the global resources of advanced control technologies, world class solutions and services,
Roy M Mathew, chairman, Mini Muthoottu, the project promoters, said.
Unlike the IT and Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) parks, which
covers a larger area, the 'Tech Towers', being built in 1.25 lakh square metres, and situated in the heart
of Kochi city, would provide all facilities under one roof, including air conditioning, power and water
supply and furnishing to the entrepreneurs.
Mathew said they were aiming at leasing out space to entrepreneurs instead of outright sale. The
building can house at least 15,000 workers at a time. The accessibility to the building will be regulated
by 'smart cards', he said.
The 23-floor towers are expected to be commissioned by May 31.
The project, which had been showcased at the global investor meet held in January, had received good
response at the meet.
