India, Bosnia talk of PM's peace initiatives

New Delhi: India and Bosnia on May 7 held talks on Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee's peace initiatives in South Asia and ways to improve bilateral economic co-operation.

Bosnian Foreign Minister Aladen Ivanic, who arrived in New Delhi on a three-day visit on May 7 called on President A P J Abdul Kalam and Vajpayee.

During his wide-ranging discussions with External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha, issues relating to exchange of drafts on mutual legal assistance and extradition treaties came up, according to a spokesman of the External Affairs Ministry.

The situation in Iraq, Palestine and the Balkans also formed parts of the parleys the Bosnian Foreign Minister had with Sinha, he added.
