Saudi blast: Bush vows to bring killers to justice
Wednesday, May 14 2003 10:48 Hrs (IST)

Washington: US President George W Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney joined scores of leaders across the globe who condemned the May 13 suicide attacks in Saudi Arabia, which killed 29 people including seven Americans, and vowed to find the killers whose only faith was hate.

"Today's attacks in Saudi Arabia, the ruthless murder of American citizens and other citizens, reminds us that the war on terror continues, we will find the killers, whose only faith is hate," Bush said at Indianapolis where he was speaking on his tax-cut and economic stimulus plan.

"Anytime anybody attacks our homeland, or our fellow citizens, we will be on the hunt. We will bring them to justice. Just ask the Taleban," the President said.

"I am optimistic we can overcome anything in our path. They will learn the meaning of American justice," he said.

Cheney promised to deal sternly with the terrorists.

"The only sure way to security and stability and protection of our people and those of our friends and allies is to go and eliminate the terrorists before they can launch any more attacks, and this President is absolutely bound and determined to do that," Cheney said.

Suspected al-Qaida suicide bombers carried out unprecedented strikes in Saudi Arabia, killing at least 29 people and injuring 194, including nine Indians in Riyadh, hours before the arrival of US Secretary of State Colin Powell on May 14.
