New Delhi: India on May 14 strongly condemned the terror attacks in Riyadh that left 34 dead and
scores injured including 12 Indian nationals.
"We are distressed at yesterday's bombings carried out on three residential compounds and a
commercial establishment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We have reports that 12 Indian nationals received
minor injuries," External Affairs Ministry spokesman said.
"India, which itself is a victim of many terrorist attacks, strongly condemns such acts of terror against
innocent people," he said while extending deep sympathies to the family members of the victims.
The issue also figured during talks External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha had with US Secretary of
State Colin Powell in Moscow.
Sinha said the terror attacks in Riyadh as also in Chechnya "shows that international terrorism continues
to raise its ugly head in different parts of the world."
