Dacoits loot train passengers in Karnataka

Bangalore: Dacoits looted passengers of a Bangalore-Hubli train of gold and cash around midnight near Amsandra in Tumkur district, police said on May 14.

Eight dacoits threatened three passengers and forced them to part with their cash and gold, valued at around Rs 15,000, police said.

One of the dacoits was caught by the passengers while the remaining escaped, they said.
