13 of 38 killed in Frontier Mail fire identified

Ludhiana: Thirteen of the 38 people killed in Frontier Mail fire have been identified, a railway spokesman
said.
The dead include three women and four children, one of whom is a girl. Three of those identified are of
one family.
Thirteen injured, including three women, are admitted in two hospitals – Christian medical college (CMC)
and Dayanand medical college hospitals.
The dead included Sister Alphonso (52), Betti (35), John (12), Tony (seven), both sons of Betti (all from
Kerala), Surender Singh (43) (Delhi), Paramjit Singh (27), Purshottam Lal (Amritsar), Asha Rani
(Amritsar), Draupadi (female child), Manish Sakha Ram, Ganpati Shivaji (33) and Gotiya (male child (all
from Maharashtra).
Following is the list of injured in two hospitals.
Christian medical college hospital: Sangeeta and Ravinder Singh (both Baghpat, UP), Satpal Singh
(Jammu), Vikra Singh (Rajouri), Anil Kumar, his wife Nishita (Jalandhar), T Padmavati, T Srinivasmurthy,
B R Shastri (all from Hyderabad), Anil Kumar (Jalandhar) and Ajit Kumar.
Dayanand medical college (DMC) hospital: D V Sarna and Uday Bhaskar (both from Hyderabad).
Ashok Bhatia of Pitampura, Delhi, who was admitted in DMC had been discharged after first aid.
