Sinha condoles Chechnyan blast victims

Moscow: External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha on May 14 condoled the death of over 20 people in Chechnya blast, the second in the last 48 hours, which also left at least a dozen injured.

At the meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Kudrin, Sinha expressed sympathies with the people of Russia.

Calling for closer Indo-Russian interaction against terrorism, he said it was hampering the economic development of both the countries.

In a fresh terrorist attack on May 14 in Chechnya, a female suicide bomber blew herself at a large religious congregation killing over 20 people and wounding at least a dozen.

According to Russian media reports, FSB security service has not ruled out al-Qaida hand behind the May 14 blast.
