Jammu: Security forces shot dead two militants in an encounter in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir early May 16, official sources said.

Security forces, acting on a tip-off about the presence of militants at Hadayatpur-Kote in the border district, launched a search operation on May 16 morning, the sources said, adding in the subsequent gunbattle two ultras were killed.

The search operation was continuing, the sources added.
