Pakistan to release 20 Indian nationals on May 17
Friday, May 16 2003 22:11 Hrs (IST)

Amritsar: In a step aimed at improving bilateral ties, Pakistan will release 20 Indian nationals languishing in various jails for the past two years on espionage charges.

The 20 would be handed over to Indian authorities at Wagah check post by Pakistani rangers after 10.00 am (IST) on May 17, Intelligence sources said.

The Pakistan's move followed after confirmation of their Indian nationality by New Delhi.

Parents and relatives of the Indians would be reaching tomorrow at the Indo-Pak international border to receive them.
