Islamabad: Asserting that Pakistan would not roll back its nuclear programme unless India does, Foreign
Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri said Islamabad approached the talk with New Delhi without any
specific solution in mind to resolve the Kashmir issue.
"Let me say categorically there will be no unilateral rollback of Pakistan's nuclear programme," he said
while speaking at the 'jang Forum' in London, state news agency APP quoted him as saying.
Kasuri, who stopped over in London while returning to Islamabad from his visit to the US, said India
rejected Islamabad's offer of nuclear disarmament in South Asia.
However, Pakistan was ready to do so if New Delhi did the same. He also said Pakistan approached the
talks with India without any solution for Kashmir.
"It is far better not to start thinking of details of the solution of Kashmir," he said, adding, "Let the
dialogue start. Let us approach the talks in a positive spirit."
On cross-border terrorism, Kasuri said Pakistan was trying its "best to control the incursions". He said
when a suicide bomber goes on a martyrdom mission, he does not take permission from anyone.
He however, said Pakistan did have influence with people of Kashmir, but "we cannot dictate them, they
don't take dictation from us".
