Bangalore: The Cauvery Waters Dispute Tribunal is in the final stage of adjudication and hearing and would pronounce its final verdict very soon, Union Minister of Water Resources Arjun Charan Sethi said on May 20.

"The final verdict will come very soon. The Tribunal is in the final and last stage of adjudication and hearing etc. The Tribunal is sitting every day," he told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Bangalore.

The sharing of Cauvery river water has been a bone of contention between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and had on many occasions led to strain in relations between the two neighbours.

Sethi inaugurated office complex of the Central Water Commission in Bangalore.
