2 more arrested under POTA in Mulund bomb blast case

Mumbai: Two more persons have been arrested under Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) for their
alleged complicity in the Mulund bomb blast case, taking the number of those arrested to 15, police said
on May 24.
The two accused, Haroon Rashid Mohammed Yameen (27) and Rashid Ahmed Abdul Malik (35), were
arrested from suburban Kurla on May 23 and remanded to police custody till June 5 by a special court.
Two other accused in Mulund bomb blast case, Noor Mohammed Abdul Malik Ansari, Dr Wahid Abdul
Jaddar were also further remanded to police custody till June 5 by the same court.
In a related development, prime accused in the same case Saquib Nachan was arrested afresh in Vile
Parle bomb blast case and remanded to police custody till June 5. About 20 persons were injured when
a bomb exploded on January 27 in 2003, in suburban Vile Parle.
Nachan is the first accused to be arrested in Vile Parle bomb blast case. He is an alleged conspirator
and suspected to be involved in the bomb blasts at Ghatkopar, Mulund and Vile Parle, which occurred
since December 2002.
Among the 15 accused in Mulund bomb blast case, the others are - Mohammed Kamil Mohammed
Jamil Shaikh, Farah Abdul Malik, Ghulam Akbar Khotal, Hasib Zuber Mulla, Anwar Ali Javed, Atif Nasir
Mulla, Samir Mulla, Muzamil Akhtar Abdul Ansari, Arif Hussain Sadir Hussain and Mohammed Nadeem
Naeemuddin Paloba.
