Malda: Border Security Force (BSF) on May 25 claimed to have foiled an entry bid by two Bangaldeshi nationals, carrying fake currency notes, heroin and ammunition, near a border outpost at Sukhdevpur village in Malda district of West Bengal.

The BSF sources said that its personnel fired one round in the air when the anti-socials fired two rounds on being challenged by the guards.

They escaped and fled to Bangladesh leaving behind fake currency worth Rs 2,004, one live cartridge and 450 gms of heroin, the sources said.
