Ambani brothers asked to appear before court
Monday, May 26 2003 11:38 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: A Delhi court on May 26 directed Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani to appear before it on August 7 in connection with a case under the Official Secrets Act.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sangeeta Dhingra Sehgal gave the fresh date after the duo, who had initially been summoned for May 26, failed to appear before the court.

Appearing for them, their counsel Dinesh Mathur said that while Mukesh Ambani had gone to Geneva to take over as the president of International Red Cross Society, Anil had gone to Philadelphia to attend a meet of Board of Overseers.
