Pak Islamic chief asks India's help to end US hold

Lahore: Qazi Hussein Ahmed, the chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, has called upon India for help in ending US influence in the entire region, and invited New Delhi to resolve the vexed Kashmir issue amicably and bilaterally.

The chief of Jamaat while addressing a conference on Kashmir in Lahore on May 25 said, "We invite India to help in stopping the US interference in the region and decide our problems ourselves."

Jamaat-e-Islami has been concerned of Pakistan government ties with the United States and also opposes Indian control over Jammu and Kashmir.
