Mumbai: The SENSEX opened marginally higher and improved further in line with selective stocks rally
during the morning trading on the Stock Exchange, Mumbai (Bombay Stock Exchange) on fresh buying
support from investors.
The BSE Sensitive Index opened fractionally up at 3051.30 as against 23 May close of 3049.84 and
later rose further to a high at 3070.04 before being quoted at 3069.49 at 10.30 am.
Brokers said Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) stocks continued to be in the forefront on fresh buying
support on positive developments on disinvestment front.
Oil PSU majors like BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corp Limited) and HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corp

the second successive week.
IT counters, however, met with a feeble resistance due to some profit booking by foreign funds which
have shifted their focus to old economy sector.

RCF by 5.72 per cent, STC India by 4.17 per cent, SCI by 2.15 per cent, Federal Bank by 2.05 per cent,
