Two killed, 14 injured during Jharkhand bandh

Ranchi: Two persons were killed and 14 injured on May 27 when police and bandh supporters clashed
during the controversial teachers recruitment test that completed amidst violence on the second day of
the 48-hour Jharkhand bandh called by pro-domicile groups.
Home Secretary J B Tubid told reporters that one person was killed when police exchanged fire with
bandh supporters near Ranchi college, while another killed at Hundul at Namkum.
Tubid said the trouble broke out at Hundulu when bandh supporters attacked the police personnel and
tried to disrupt the examination.
In the exchange of several rounds, one person who received bullet wounds succumbed to death at the
hospital.
At Ranchi college, he said, some bandh supporters opened fire on the police after the completion of the
examination and in the return fire a boy was killed.
