IBM employee detained in Malaysia back home

Bangalore: An employee of Bangalore-based software major IBM, Narendra Babu, who was detained by the Malaysian authorities for overstaying his visa, is back home, the company said on May 28.

"The employee concerned is back in India", an IBM spokesman said, adding that the company considered the matter "closed". However, he gave no further details.

Babu, working in the planning department of IBM, was detained by the Malaysian authorities on May 23 before he was to board a flight back home.
