Government to slash customs duty on set top box

New Delhi: Government on May 29decided to cut customs duty on set top box, purchase of which will
become mandatory for receiving pay channels after Conditional Access System (CAS) is implemented
from July, official sources said.
The Finance Ministry in this regard has issued a notification; the sources said adding the details were
being worked out.
