Friday, May 30 2003 16:45 Hrs (IST)

Washington: Parminder Nagra doesn't want to become an ambassador of Indian culture.

"I don't want to end up a cultural spokesperson. That's a big responsibility, and I'm not a politician. I am an actress trying to do my work," the 27-year-old star of the hit movie "Bend It Like Beckham" was quoted as saying by TeenHollywood.com.

The British-born actress is currently looking forward to a stint in the popular US medical drama, ER.
