Four TDP workers killed in political clashes

Hyderabad: Four Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists, including a mandal parishad territorial committee (MPTC) member, were killed when they were attacked by their rivals in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh in the wee hours of May 31.

Some Congress workers went in two tractors from Betalpalli mandal headquarters to the village and attacked with bombs, police said.

In the attack, Besta Mallikarjuna, a MPTC member, Besta Narayanappa, his son Srinivasulu and Besta Ashok were killed, police said.

The cause of attack was stated to be the political rivalry, police added.
