Mysore: Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda on June 2 ruled out any truck with the Congress to fight elections at state level in Karnataka and announced that his party JD-S (Janata Dal-Secular) was going ahead with its round-the-state tour programme from July 1.

Responding to a question, at a press conference in Mysore, on Congress president Sonia Gandhi's declaration that her party was for an alliance with secular parties to fight against BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), Gowda said while such a move was welcome, it could not be worked out in some states like Karnataka.
