Baby boy stolen from hospital; found at temple!
Tuesday, June 3 2003 18:26 Hrs (IST)

Nagpur: A three-day baby boy, allegedly stolen from the government Daga Hospital on June 2, was recovered from outside a temple at Warud in Amravati district, police said on June 3.

Police said the infant's mother Lalitha Dhanraj Bhagat and other relatives had left with a police team for the place, about 160 kms from Nagpur, to identify the baby.

Earlier, the baby was allegedly taken away by an unidentified woman, who developed friendly relationship with the mother in the hospital, police said.

On the pretext of giving some medicine to the infant, the woman took the baby outside the maternity ward and disappeared, hospital sources said.
