NDA govt a saga of slogan, corruption and misrule

Bhubaneswar: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on June 7 lambasted the Vajpayee-led National
Democratic Alliance (NDA) government accusing it of indulging in divisive politics based on spreading
hatred and empty promises.
The Central government's four-year rule is a saga of slogans, corruption and misgovernance, she said
while addressing a huge rally.
Describing the scenario as dismal, Gandhi said industries were closing down and unemployment was on
the rise creating a serious situation.
In Orissa, the drought-hit farmers were in great difficulty as they were not getting the due for whatever
they produced while crop insurance funds were yet to be disbursed.
Though a coalition government, which was also part of the NDA government at the Centre, was ruling
Orissa, the state had failed to extract any benefit from the Central government, she remarked.
