Rudy rules out restoration of air links with Pak

Patna: There is no proposal at present to restore air link with Pakistan and the decision in this regard is possible only after the relations between the two countries normalises, the Minister Of State for Civil Aviation Rajiv Pratap Rudy said on June 7.

There is no proposal regarding restoration of air services between the two countries is under consideration at my level, Rudy said.

Referring to a question on the possibilities of resumption of air services in the near future, Rudy said we will abide by the directives of the Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.

The Prime minister had already said that normal ties between New Delhi and Islamabad is not possible till the later stop sponsoring cross-border terrorism completely, Rudy said.

India had snapped air services with Pakistan after terrorists attack on Parliament in December 2001.
