Madurai: Police on June 10 searched houses of the DMK (Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam) cadres Mannan and S R Gopi, arrested in connection with the murder of the former DMK minister T Kiruttinan in presence of the Tehsildar and their relatives.

Police said the search was being conducted as part of their investigation.

Meanwhile, police, in a petition to a Judicial Magistrate sought the custody of Easwaran, who had surrendered at a court a few days ago, for interrogation. Easwaran is one of the suspects in the Kiruttinan murder case.
