Cow poisoning sparks tension in Allahabad

Allahabad: Four cows were allegedly poisoned to death in a village sparking tension in the area, police
said on June 11
The cows, belonging to farmers, were grazing in piparaon village, when some unidentified persons
allegedly poisoned them on June 10, police said.
The miscreants also skinned the animals, they said adding the cows were poisoned with an intention to
whip up communal tension in the area.
As the news spread like wild fire, hundreds of people gathered in the village demanding immediate
arrest of the miscreants.
Adequate police have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.
