New Delhi: The Supreme Court on June 12 issued notice to Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash
Chautala, state government and the vigilance chief on a petition filed by a senior education department
officer seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged massive bungling in the
appointment of 4,000 teachers.
A vacation Bench comprising Justice R C Lahoti and Justice Brijesh Kumar, while issuing the notices on
a petition filed by a senior IAS officer Sanjiv Kumar, posted the matter for further hearing on June 19.
Alleging Chautala and his aides had been harassing him as he had refused to include their nominees in
the list of primary teachers, Kumar, through counsel Rajiv Dhawan and M N Krishnamani, said he had
been put under suspension by the state government on the basis of unfounded allegations.
