Lucknow: The condition of Mahant Ramchandra Paramhans Das, chief of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, who suffered a heart attack on June 12, is stable, doctors said on June 14.

The Mahant had a good night's sleep and was fine, doctors at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute said.

The Mahant was, however, still under observation in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Senior VHP and BJP leaders called on him to enquire about his health.
