Pak team to arrive for discussion on bus service

New Delhi: Marking a step forward towards resumption of Delhi-Lahore bus service after 18 months, a
team of Pakistani officials will arrive on June 19 for talks with Indian officials to work out modalities of the
relaunch
tipped to be from early July.
The delegation will be in Delhi for three days to work out nitty gritty of resumption of the service with the
Indian team of officials, headed by Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) Chairman A J S Sahani, they said.
The Indian side will also have officials from the Ministries of External Affairs, Home Affairs and Surface
Transport, besides civil and police officials of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana, the sources said.
The issues to be worked out include the fares, facilities, logistics and security measures, they said.
The two sides have already agreed on plying the bus twice a week on both sides.
