Arguments on Babri demolition case fails to start

Rae Bareilly: The arguments on framing of charges in the Babri Masjid demolition case, in which Deputy
Prime Minister L K Advani and seven others are accused, failed to start on June 19 as the special CBI
(Central Bureau of Investigation) court could not supply copies of audio and video cassettes regarding
the case to the defence counsels.
The court fixed June 24 as the next date for hearing.
Special CBI judge Vinod Kumar Singh, on June 13 had fixed June 19 as the date of hearing and
exempted Advani and seven others from personal appearance.
Besides Advani, the seven accused in the case include HRD Minister Murli Manohar Joshi, Bharatiya
Janata Party (BJP) leaders Uma Bharati and Vinay Katiyar, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders
Ashok Singhal, Giriraj Kishore, Vishnu Hari Dalmia and Sadhvi Rithambara.
