Mumbai: Deputy Prime Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L K Advani on June 20 called upon party workers to strengthen the party organisation and gear up for the general elections in 2004.

Delivering the valedictory address at the BJP's brain storming session at Uttan in nearby Thane district, Advani dwelt on Indo-Pak relations and peace initiatives undertaken by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government to strengthen ties with the neighbouring country.

Advani also elaborated on the efforts made by the government to counter the menace of cross-border terrorism.

Later, the BJP leader left for Delhi.
