Lucknow: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on June 20 received the much-awaited communication from Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati containing fresh proposal for the settlement of the vexed Ayodhya issue.

The communication was received in the office of the AIMPLB chairman Maulana Rabe Hasan Nadwi in Lucknow, the Board's spokesman Maulana Sajjad Nomani said.

He said the letter containing the proposal would only be opened by Nadwi, who is presently in Rae Bareilly.

After going through the contents of the Seer's letter, the board would consider the proposed formula, Nomani said.
