India successfully test-fires Trishul missile

Balasore: India's most sophisticated short-range missile Trishul was successfully test-fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, about 15 km from Balasore, on June 22.

Indigenously developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the surface- to-air missile has a triple battlefield role for the Army, Air Force and Navy, has a range of 500 metres and can carry a 15 kg warhead.
