Jammu: Heavily armed militants on June 25 hurled a grenade in a bid to blow up Badi Ziarat shrine of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir injuring two persons, official sources said.

Militants threw grenade from hill-top on the shrine, the sources said, adding it hit the tower of shrine and exploded on the road.

Two civilians were injured and later hospitalised, the sources said. No damage was caused to the shrine.

Security forces have launched search operation in the area to track down the militants responsible for the attack.
