Mumbai: Share prices bounced back recovering smartly their overnight losses at opening session of the
Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on June 25 on fresh buying coupled with short covering by operators.
Majority of index-based shares like RIL, Infosys Tech, Grasim, ITC, BHEL, Tisco, MTNL, Cipla, Dr Reddy,
Ranbaxy, GACL, HPCL, HCL Tech and Satyam Computer were quoted remarkably higher on renewed
buying support.
Dealers attributed recovery in share values to short covering by operators a day ahead of the last day
of future &option (F&O) segment.
The BSE-30 share SENSITIVE INDEX opened firm at 3456.85 as against June 24's close of 3447.45 and
moved up further to quote at 3485.44 at 10.45 hours (IST).
Despite weak advices from NASDAQ where the tech-based NASDAQ COMPOSITE INDEX eased further
by 5.14 points, select IT stocks also attracted investors attention.
