Shanghai: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on June 27 said no decision has yet been taken on the question of deployment of Indian troops to Iraq.

At a press conference in Shanghai, he was reminded that he had laid great emphasis on multi-polarity and, at the same time, India was considering sending soldiers to Iraq.

The Prime Minister responded by saying that the issues were not connected and, in any case, no decision has yet been taken on the deployment of Indian troops.

A decision would be taken only after his return to India, the Prime Minister added.
