Wednesday, July 2 2003 12:01 Hrs (IST)

Islamabad: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, who is currently touring Germany, said on July 1 Berlin has agreed to supply spare parts for the radar systems of Pakistan Air Force's fighter planes.

Musharraf told Pakistan media at Berlin after his meeting with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder that the supply of the spare parts had been stopped after the imposition of sanctions following nuclear tests by Pakistan in 1998, PTV said.

Musharraf also invited private investment from Germany in Pakistan saying that Pakistan currently registered the highest growth rate in the region.

He also held talks with the German Foreign Minister and other German officials and discussed the India- Pak relations, the new peace process and issues relating to terrorism and Afghanistan.
