New Delhi: Rubbishing allegations of corruption against him, Akali Dal leader Parkash Singh Badal on
July 4 challenged Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh to order a judicial probe into the charges and
dared him to arrest him.
"Let a High Court judge conduct an inquiry into the charges of corruption against me. If there is an iota
of truth in the allegations, I will retire from politics," he told reporters.
Rejecting the allegation that he and his son had amassed property worth Rs.3,500 crore during his
tenure as Chief Minister, Badal said the Congress government could not prove a single instance of
corruption since it has come to power in the state.
The Akali Dal leader said he was "least worried" about his arrest and added that rather, Singh should be
worried, as he has never experienced what a jail is like.
"I say arrest me. I know they cannot because there is no case against me," he said.
Referring to the Chief Minister's statement that investigations will not be stopped, Badal said that the
inquiry was being conducted in a "faulty" manner.
