Two US soldiers killed in fire fight with Iraqis

Baghdad: Two US soldiers were killed in two separate attacks on July 6 in Baghdad, when their patrols came under attack, a US military spokesman said on July 7.

In the first incident, a US soldier was involved in a firefight with two Iraqi gunmen, one of whom was shot dead, he said. A second soldier was killed in a separate attack by an improvised explosive device (IED), also in the capital.
