Kancheepuram: A day after the All India Muslim Personal Law Board rejected his proposal for resolving the Ayodhya issue, Kanchi Shankaracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi on July 7 said a solution to the Ayodhya tangle would not be possible through courts but could emerge only through talks.

"Our efforts in finding a solution are now over but I am ready for talks if the parties concerned come for talks. Our doors are always open," he told reporters.

The Shankaracharya said he had no new proposal to offer.

He also made it clear that he would not interfere in the affairs of Kashi and Mathura though some other organisations or association may rake up the issue.
