Tuesday, July 8 2003 20:47 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: Even as the COMED-K continued to oppose the seat sharing formula of the government, the forum of unaided private new engineering colleges have decided to accept the formula.

The forum at its meeting held in Bangalore on July 6 assured the government to abide by the admission made by CET (Common Entrance Test) in the ratio of 75:25 per cent as suggested the court, provided the state would work with it on fee structure.

The Forum in a letter to Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister D B Chandregowda, a copy of which was released to the press here, wanted the government to consider fixing of Rs 35,000 as fee per annum.

It also wanted the government to share at least 50 per cent of the fee concession provided to students coming under reservation.
