PG programme in NGO Management at Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) is conducting an NGO management
programme at its campus in Ahmedabad. The NGO (Non-Government Organisation) management
programme is the only of its kind being offered to graduates who would like to make working in
development sector as a career option for them.
The programme is presently in its fifth year and has till now provided educational inputs on management
of non-profit social development organisation to 106 students hailing from 22 states in India.
The co-ordinators of the programme claimed that students passing out of the course find responsible
positions in NGOs of repute. They also claimed that campus placement and internship placement
requests come from national as well as donors from all across the country. The EDI is reported to have
almost 100 per cent placement records in the past three batches.
The input provided to the students help them in developing understanding of the social sector and also
equips them with tools of analysis commonly used among the professionals who are associated with
NGOs.
The sixth batch of the programme is to start from September 22 and the process of screening and
