New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on July 10 decided to go ahead with implementation of Conditional Access System (CAS) for cable television as scheduled.

"There will be no rollback of CAS. It will be implemented in a manner in which the ministry has decided to roll it out at a meeting last week with broadcasters and cable operators," Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravishankar Prasad told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.
