Supual (Bihar): The Centre will go by the court verdict to settle the thorny RamjanmaBhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute, nothwithstanding pressure from the Sangh Parivar, particularly the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), for enactment of a Law for construction of temple at Ayodhya, Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said on July 12.

''The Ayodhya issue is pending with the court and Vajpayee government will go by its decision on the matter,'' the Textile Minister told reporters.

Hussain said, ''Kashi and Mathura are not on the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party)'s agenda which accords top-most priority to maintaining communal harmony. There is no question of kowtowing to the VHP.''

On Indo-Pak relations, Hussain said normal relationship between the two countries could not be restored unless there was complete renunciation of cross-border terrorism by Pakistan.

''Though the infiltration from across the border has come down in recent weeks, it has to stop completely for restoration of normal relations between New Delhi and Islamabad," he said.
