US firm apologises for offending 'OM' symbol

New York: Gold Medal Hosiery in New York is distributing socks with 'OM' symbol.
Media reports on July 03, 2003 said, "Gold Medal Hosiery in New York, which distributes the offending
socks, declined to comment. The label on the socks says the product has been made in South Korea.
They have been designed by New Yorker Linda Maddocks"
On July 04, 2003 IndiaCause sent formal letter to Paul Rotstein President, CEO of Gold Medal Hosiery.
IndiaCause received an e-mail apology from the President on July 11, 2003.
