Nitish quits, but Vajpayee rejects his resignation

New Delhi: Internal Samata Party wranglings took a dramatic turn on July 14 when Railway Minister Nitish Kumar, under attack from within and without, resigned from the government, which was promptly rejected by Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.
