Baghdad: One US soldier was killed early July 14 and six others were wounded in a multiple rocket- propelled grenade attack on their patrol in Baghdad, said an American military spokesman.

The attack occurred in the al-Mansur area of the capital, the spokesman said, adding the dead soldier was from the 3rd Infantry Division.
